Christopher and I were contacted by Patricia to take her family portraits this year.  She shared this is an annual tradition and a time when she and her children Thomas, Carmen, and Mary Grace all get together and share smiles, laughs, and can capture memories of their relationship each year.  This is something the whole family looks forward to, so we wanted to make it extra special for them.

As moms often do, Patricia organized the photo shoot and made sure everyone had coordinating outfits for the session.  I think she did an amazing job with the complimentary yellow and blue and the balance of stripes and florals.  And we found a beautiful open field in the Tampa area for our session!  She laughed as she told us the story of shopping with little Mary Grace for her dress, adding she sometimes wishes she had a camera crew following her around to capture some of the candid moments!

A Family's Love Highlighted

I loved loved loved reviewing the gallery with Patricia!  It melted my heart to hear her tell me her favorite take-away from the session was the way the photos captured the connection of the children with her and with each other, and the way their personalities can be seen in each photo.  Patricia explained she was watching her older daughter, Carmen, review the photos.  Carmen is usually a self-critical pre-teen, but she could tell Carmen saw herself as beautiful for one of the first times, as a mom this took her breath away.

Christopher and I made sure the family could relax and have fun during our time together so we could capture their natural expressions and relationships.  You can tell each one of these kids adore their mom and love how much she cares for them!
